After over 3 years of not roasting, on October 15th, 2003 I picked up a couple of thrift-store popcorn poppers and a pound of green coffee, and started roasting at home.
I had quite a good time for awhile, but then we opened a coffeeshop (I also kept my RealTM job) and I ended up getting incredibly burned out.
And then we moved from the huge house to a tiny apartment - no more indoor popper roasting.
But now I have one of the commercial popper roasters, and have started up again.
